Monday, December 17th, 2007On this summer’s PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) hike, nobody ever accused me of being too clean to be a thru-hiker. Instead, the comment I most often garnered was, “Wow, you look like you’ve been out there for awhile.� The longest I went without washing my clothes was 450 miles. That’s a record for me.
Even after washing, my clothes still looked dirty. I found that if I washed them twice, they looked a lot better after the second wash.
