Fixing what’s wrong.

I have found most every problem on the trail can be solved with more food and more rest; and most every problem off the trail can be remedied by less food and more exercise.

  1. Crow: Funny and true. Though at first I thought you were going to say that almost every problem on the trail can be solved with duct tape. That works pretty well for most of every other kind of problem.

  2. I think you’re on to something. The Middle Way really does involve something like an off season from the trail. Much maligned though it is, it calls to us from the trail just as the trail calls to us when we’re away from it. The point of natural balance is really a vacillation between extremes, a sweet spot to which we merely allude.
